The Pleasant Beaches of Acapulco

The best travel experience I have ever had is the time that I traveled to Acapulco, Mexico for the first time. My family always mentioned it as a dreamy destination to visit, and I would see images and commercials about it. Finally we decided to take the trip! It was the best experience.

We arrived there late at night so the first thing we did was rent a hotel room close to the beach. In the morning, we actually took a swim in the very large pool complimentary of the hotel. Then we got ready to grab some lunch. The streets were crowded. There were many people shopping around or selling items. We ate at a small restaurant a walking distance from the sea. We sat outside and watched the ocean. Of course, I couldn’t resist but to order a seafood cocktail to enjoy as I watched the people splash around in the water and people relaxing on the sand. After we finished eating, it was our turn to go to the beach. The sand was bright and warm. I took off my sandals and dug my feet into the sand. My younger brothers went directly into the water head first and stayed there for a while, splashing each other and seeing who could swim out the farthest before my father told them to come back. The water was pleasant and not very cold. It complimented the warm weather well. We spent the evening there, either in the water, looking for shells on the shore, or taking pictures of each other.

It was the most fun I had ever had on any family vacation to Mexico.

  11. I spent a lot of time in Acapulco many years ago. The photo you posted brings back memories of fun times there. I think my favorite thing is the fact that you have the mountains and the sea. The drive on the Costera from the airport to Acapulco is breathtaking. I would recommend visiting the small town of Puerto Marques while you are there. It has a beautiful bay with a very tranquil beach.
